Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Information Governance position at Black Stone is responsible for leading, planning, and managing the Company’s Records and Information Management (RIM) Program for all records and information assets, regardless of medium or format. This role requires a mix of in-depth knowledge of creating records-management processes, project-management expertise, developing the strategic plan for the program, and educating all stakeholders on records management.
In This Role, You Will
- Develop the strategic plan for a RIM program, using best-practice methodologies to achieve strategic goals
- Own the corporate policies and procedures regarding the management of information assets
- Create, implement, and maintain a records-retention schedule and processes for the retention and disposition of records, in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Plan, organize, direct, review, coordinate, and establish controls for all company records and information resources
- Construct digitization strategy and optimize its execution
- Manage RIM vendor / supplier relationships
- Educate all employees, consultants, and contractors on company records management
- Serve as the company-wide expert on records management
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
What We Require
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Management/Business Management/Library Science or equivalent in experience.
- More than six years of experience in records and information management, including at least four years of supervisory experience.
- Experience leading company-wide projects and initiatives and using change-management methodologies to drive user adoption.
- Certified Records Manager (ICRM), ERM Master (AIIM), Master of Library and Information Sciences (MLIS), Information Governance Professional (ARMA), or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- Upstream oil & gas experience preferred
- Ability to plan and organize workload, adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Solid interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a small team environment as well as with external parties
- Bring a positive, team-player attitude that is dependable and committed to the objectives given.
Hybrid work environment: Tuesday through Thursday, in-office. Monday and Friday, remote optional.
All candidates must live within commuting distance of downtown Houston. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
